Deputy PM says Russian car market to grow in 2017
MOSCOW, Jun 29 (PRIME) -- The Russian car market will grow in 2017 for the first time over several last years, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters Wednesday.
“The largest sector – the automobile industry – will be at the bottom line this year, we will only stabilize the situation this year,” he said.
“Next year will be the first year of growth, mostly due to exports of both cars and car components. All companies are dealing with it,” he said.
In 2015, Russia’s car production fell 27.7% to 1.2 million units.
Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said earlier he expected the country’s car output to fall 5–7% in 2016.
